Guest guest
<< ps. is Ranjeesh your real name or is it an anagram of Rajneesh? - yogaman >> my parents initially named me as rajneesh , later got scared that whether I will get inspired by osho rajnesh ( unfortunately he had notorious stamp on him in india as well as outside india.), then renamed me to ranjeesh. During my search for more and more knowldge & techniques I had covered osho too ( too tough to claim that I have covered , he is really oceanic and every drop of that ocean tastes different ) . Now a days not in touch with that group , Now the MAN is absent and it has become a party place for the hippies. I have never felt the kind of devotion and surrender to anybody like they way I have felt to amma. 2 years back or so I got stunned when I saw osho's book ref. on the best books section of matruvani ( title I don't remember it was about silence ) , I was highly influenced by 2 books , "india my love" & another about meditation techniqiues. Amma do send her swamy's some times to here and there for learning something . I do consider this journey as a part of it . and the journey continues. with lots of luv your little brother. Ranjeesh, very well put about Osho. I have never felt like criticizing that man, but I have never felt very drawn to him too. But I have read a few of his books, and feel he is tremendously well- read and wise, if not totally enlightened. Paramacharya (or one of the other Shankaracharyas) called him one of the most dangerous men in India, because of his radically different attitude towards practices. Like you, I have never felt as drawn to anyone else but Amma. > > Amma do send her swamy's some times to here and there for learning >something . This is amazing info. I did not know this.... I have done a few of Osho's "dynamic meditation" techniques which are simply mind- blowing. I did this in a retreat organized by the Bangalore-based Swami Sukhabhodananda in Bombay/Mumbai in 95 (I used to live there then). There is an Osho book I remember... my friend was reading it. it was in Hindi and titled "Main Mrtyu Sikhata Hoon" meaning "I am teaching you Death"... that book is supposed to have some very different attitudes to death et al. I think the English version of the book is available, although I don't know the exact title. > with lots of luv > your little brother.
