Guest guest
Dearest yogaman, I absolutely loved your story about the Hershey kisses and, especially, about the meaningful glances. I received one long, intense gaze and a buoyant glance, not to mention two different touches on the hand, at the RI retreat recently, and I felt each one absolutely rock my inner world. As for the Hershey kisses, I haven't eaten mine but instead placed them in front of my framed lotus feet photo on my altar. I am now wondering if I *should* eat them?! After I get home from Amma's programs I place the wrappings at Amma's feet, along with the flower petals caught (or picked up off the floor) at the end of the devi bhava. Guest guest
Some people have noticed the blessing of Amma's shakti while eatting Her prasad, so I would say they're meant to eat! When I rec'd my mantra She gave me an apple and I did the same with that... it was the most delicious apple ever! My lifepartner always holds on to Amma's prasad, and leaves it at the foot of Her picture on our devotional space in the living room until he decides to eat it. This year, after 2 days I was looking longingly at the Hershey's kiss.. I said to him, "I think Amma wants you to eat your prasad..." and he ate it right away. I think he was afraid I was going to take it! As for my petals, I got one of those Devi Bhava amulets from Mothersbooks a couple of years ago, and after Devi Bhava or other programs with Amma I dry whatever petals She bestows on me and add them to the amulet. I don't always wear it, but it's a beautiful reminder for me of all the joy Mother brings when She comes each year. Or I press a petal behind the glass in a framed picture of Mother, too... in some cases the petal looks totally preserved, not dried! Thank You, AMMA... The foils from the kisses pop up everywhere ... in my wallet, at my altar, in one of my dresser drawers...!! I can't part with them, but perhaps I should store them with a little more shradda... :-) your little brother in God, satyadev

Now if you are allergic to chocolates or have some other concern eating them, I will be most willing to eat them :-). -yogaman
