I don't necessarily see a correspondence to magnetic force, electrical force, heat, and delight. The Seed of Delight is usually KLIM (Krishna and Radha). The Seed of Heat is usually RAM (Surya or Rama). What is your source for this interpretation? -- Len/ Kalipadma On Fri, 06 Aug 2004 14:28:05 +0530 Bhattathiry <mulavana writes: > The Four Great Goddess Mantra > > HRIM, KRIM, HUM, and SHRIM are four great Goddess mantras that > govern the prime forms of energy as magnetic force, electrical > force, heat, and delight. Guest guest
Aloha manoj, Om Namah Shivaya If you had a dream and Amma appeared and said "Lets do something fun..." what would you want to do with Her. Maybe you have heard this before that Amma says where there is love there is never boredom. Perhaps there is a way that we all can be giving more love to expand our heart more and feel the blissful refreshment of Devi. Amma says meditation should expand the heart...this small self who knows nothing suggests maybe you could include some innocent playfulness with our dIVINEmother in your meditation practice. Play like a child with her and you will see how She responds. THE WRISTBANDS FOR MOTHER'S RETREATS HAVE BEEN REPEATING THIS MESSAGE OF HERS FOR YEARS , THE CHILDLIKE INNOCENCE DEEP WITHIN YOU IS GOD. If you have forgotten how to let your imagination loose, try to be around children. Do you have children in your family that could teach you how to play? Amma also says that to be around children is the next best thing to being with God because they are seeing through divine eyes, their vasanas have not yet taken hold. She also says that spirituality is nothing but the ability to face adeverse circumstances with a smile. Like most masters, She always recommends laughter as a cure for the disease of seriousness. One time,On a North indian tour with Mother, our train was going through wartorn regions and many were afraid we would die. Amma said if you are afraid of death, go home... I only wnated to be close to her if I was going to die but definitely an air of seriousness prevailed over the tour. Amma usually invites ten -twelve devotees to Her train car at atime until She has met with everyone on the tour but this particular time, my first train trip with mother, circumstances separated Amma's car from the rest of the train cars so there could be no passage. Everyone was so sad...We kept our window shutter closed because of the possible shooting. At each stop, I would look out and se Amma's hand extending form Her train window, touching the trhongs of people gathered. After many stops like this in the middle of the night, i peeked out and I did not see Mothers hand. I heard people outside, saying Amma's coming...our train car was the first She would walk through and it wasa mess and my roomate was sleeping. i wanted to straighten it up but i wanted to wake her up too. I shook in her upper bunk across the passageway."amma's coming" i said excitedly to her dazed sleepiness and started to straighten my bed. i looked up and there She was- standing there looking at me. FOR AN ETERNITY! No-one else was around. My roomate was still up in her bunk and Amma's attendants were probably trying to find her -i dont know but i dint think about it... all i thought is what is she doing? She was doing nothing. She was waiting for me to do something. I didnt know what to do. I didnt feel anything at all. So I told myself, or She told me inside, "Dont be afraid of Her. This is your time to do whatever your heart wants with MOther. Pretend it is a dream, what would you do?I would hug her.."I answered myself as i witnessed myself flung across the room to embrace Her. i sunk into Her like a waterbed of eternal light. She did not move. Nothing moved. All was still peaceful full. Suddenly the world closed in around us. Amma, someone called.Amma went towards them, her attendants and swamini caught up with Her, pushing me out of the way. I stayed behind them as Amma walked through each train car. in each car, the fallen dejected bored faces rose up smiling, spilling over joy like flowers to the morning sun. It was such a profound witnessing. after a while i was left behind, We each tried to make our car the best car for devi to visit in, hoping on her way back through the train, She would stop for a spell and give a satsang or two. The train car Devi chose to reside in was the one where they were in full bhajan session. But, She helped us all get our spaces in order to welcome Her... i hope this story give syou inspiration to act out your longing for Mother. I hope this story gives me inspiration to prepare for her unexpected arrival in my little life at any time She chooses and that I find the inspiration to clean clean clean this home She has given me to live in so that She will be happy to reside here with me. I have a deep resistance to cleaning-procrastination and fatigue are the spirits that have overwhelmed since i was forced to clean so much as a child... I must learn that Goddess is just as much present in the pile as the pillar. Thank you all for expressing your honesty and vulnerability and allowing me to do the same, may amma pluck these vasanas for Her own designs, OM AMMA Ambujam
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, This made me remember... Last year, I was telling a long-time devotee/friend of mine about my messy house, how I hate cleaning, etc. She said, "You better clean it in case Amma decides to stop by!" She meant it, too! At the time, I thought, "Amma's not going to 'stop by' my house outside Austin, TX!" But you know what? After a year of stories and developing faith, I believe She would! So, now I make much more effort. In Amma, Gabriela P.S. Effort doesn't always mean success in this case! ammaslotus <ammaslotus wrote: hope this story gives me inspiration to prepare for her unexpected arrival in my little life at any time She chooses and that I find the inspiration to clean clean clean this home She has given me to live in so that She will be happy to reside here with me. Based on one experience, this sounds like a good intention. One time I reverted to being a 3 or 4-year-old & had an imaginary tea party with Amma, in a little meadow clearing in a woods. I served Her chai in the prettiest ever china, then offered her freshly picked lilacs & rasberries (both my favorites during childhood) sprinkled with sugar & in milk. It was wonderful, very healing and not at all boring.
