Guest guest
namah shivayah Once when I attended the surya yog session , the swamy has told that the energy from sun in the early morning & evening ( !!!ONLY !!!) , only for 3-5 mins maximum (!!! ONLY !!! ) allowd for naked eyes with gayatri chanting (ref http://www.suryayog.org/ , courses offered in major cities of india by his teachers , in case of visiting india can have a try ). I have tried this course a good one too . too good for jumping into a meditative state. But in the west sun light exposure will be a an issue. there are many courses in india many doing rituals to sun . even if not able to attend the course ( course procedure is bit lengthy .. ) just start offering water to surya(SUN) chanting gayatri mantra and gazing ata the sun ( again 3-5 mins & moring & evening SUN only ) . May be you could do a manasa ppoja to amma . You could see amma in sun , can't you ? try . Upanayana ( doubt the right word or not , there is one invloved in eye to eye meditation ) , gazing at oil lamp ( during puja ) for a long tome without any movement ( No !!! for eyes as well , tears may come initially , still do not close eyes ) too helps in eye vision . Another is gazing at yantra charts for a long time . Start trying out a cosmetic (very black in colour ) which indian females do apply ( especially keralites , on lower eye lids , in the early days people were noramally extracting that from the remains of the temple lamp ashes and all ) . forgot its name . pls do ask to any amma's keralite devotees . heyy any mallu sisters there ? pls do mail here the name of it .. pls address the same to ayurveda , good active group ( after becoming the member from ) . learn reiki if possible and start giving reiki to eyes. pranic healing too is considered as the best . massage head and ears( a bit ) with oils ( start with small doses ) , it improves the vision don't worry our prayers are there with you . surrender surrender and surrender to amma .. namah shivayah <<< Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel Re: Vision problems As will I KaliPadma. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, There is a Chinese patent herbal formula called Ming Mu Di Huang (Rehmannia Formula to Brighten the Eyes) that is good for a number of disorders of vision. Now Vitamins also makes a formula called Eye Support that includes a number of antioxidants. Best of luck. -Jim Ammachi, "Ranjeesh K R." <ranjeeshk@i...> wrote: > namah shivayah > > Once when I attended the surya yog session , the swamy has told that the energy from sun in the early morning & evening ( !!! Guest guest
There is a good yogic excercise called Tratakam (someone already mentioned this), which is highly beneficial for the eyes. It has to be practiced focussing on a spot (a photograph of Amma focussing on the tiny white dot in Amma's pupils is just perfect for this). There are different stages of progress in this excercise - at first the photo will appear to become larger/ smaller... and later on the photo will totally disappear (there is nothing mystical about this, just the way the nerves of the eye works); later you can you can see a hazy covering with various colours around the body (some say this is the aura). One of the possible reasons for deterioration of eyesight is depletion of ojas - should be watchful of diet and try to include fresh food, ghee, curd (if this is permissible according to your dosha) etc. Like someone suggested ayurveda is an excellant place to gather more information. -yoaman Ammachi, "Jim Butler" <acujames> wrote: > Namah Shivaya, > There is a Chinese patent herbal formula called Ming Mu Di Huang
