Guest guest
It's very nice to say when making a post there to start out by saying Brother's and Sister's there but aren't ALL of humanity our brother's and sister's there even though they may NOT know of Amma? To me it seems very narrow minded when it just applies to those that know of Amma and just mention it to those who just know of Amma. I think that AMMA would like to all of us to know that EVERYBODY is our brother and sister no matter how difficult it may seems. I have been restling with this for many many years and come to realize that even the lowest of the low or the worst of humanity is our brother and sister. And it is up to us as to how we react to it. There will always be those who are in need and always those that will need our help regardless of whether one knows of Amma or not. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, >..aren't ALL of humanity our brother's and sister's.. Good point! Immediately after last year's RI retreat, Amma blessed me to see everyone as Her children. Looking at perfect strangers, I would think, "You too would just melt while meeting our Mother!" It was such a beautiful experience that enabled me to so much more fully love everyone. Plus, people responded delightfully to this attitude! There's an Amma quote that goes something like, "No matter how far away the leaves of the vine are from the blossom, they are all part of the same vine. Therefore, make no mistake about it, likewise, all are Mother's children." Everyone's Self is one with Amma's Self, which pretty well shuts out the concept of exclusion & duality. That's part of what Amma is showing us with Her perfect example of love & acceptance of ALL. Everyone may not understand if we were to begin addressing them as brother or sister, but we could do it mentally. One related little personal lesson for me during Amma's last tour, was that it would be helpful to acknowledge God within everyone. Perhaps with a mental, "Om Namah Shivaya," ESPECIALLY when feeling bothered by someone's behavior." > the lowest of the low or the worst of humanity is > our brother and > sister. And it is up to us as to how we react to it As my karmic mother said, when people are acting the least loveable, is often when they need the most love. I feel it's also good to remember that all species & all of creation are Amma's children. Thank you for bringing up this subject.
