Guest guest
One more thing about the Toronto programs - the lap assistant person aksed everyone in the darshan line about their native language. Usually they would only ask Indian-looking people, to determine if they speak Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, or one of the other languages listed in Schedule VIII (I think that's the one of the Indian Constitution. Canada has two official languages, so Amma would need to know whether to say "My darling, darling, darling..." or "Mon chéri, chéri, chéri..." Toronto is the bastion of English Canada (they even boo when O Canada is sung in French at the Blue Jays games!) but there were many devotees from Ottawa and Quebec. Amma did sing Ishwar Tumhi en français. I also heard her sing another bhajan in French (Wonderous Goddess or One Tiny Atom). If anyone has the French text of those bhajans, please e-mail me. I already have the French version of Ishwar Tumhi. Keval New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages!
