Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, I think with Mother when you have expectations( the prompting of the ego); of this and that from her, nothing happens ;(...Mother usually has a way of giving you a pleasant surprise ... A big ditto to this. In June I asked a swamini about a darshan experience that happened after just wanting to get it over with, so I could sleep! She said that many people have expectations & are disappointed when nothing happens. But, when we don't have any expectations, then we are more open. (This is also probably true in our daily lives.) Another devotee relayed an absolutely profound cosmic darshan experience, after approaching Amma with the nonchalant attitude that this would be her last darshan ever. I had been inwardly strutting about my ability to accept whatever Mother did/did not give me - only to find that Her withholding of one little 'kiss' mumped me up like a jealous child!!! (Shades of "Why can't I have a kiss? You gave him/her one!") So much for pride in my progress! Thank everyone for responding to this; it's made the whole thing fun and has given me the remainder of the attitude adjustment needed!
