Dearest Snehalata,

Regarding your "Kissless Darshan" - so many times during Darshan with

Mother She has responded to what was on my mind at the time. It could be

something I thought of while waiting in the Darshan line, or before I

got in the line, or the day before. She knows us so well. One day my

husband was wearing a Kali T-shirt, and while waiting for Darshan he

thought "I wonder if Mother ever notices these things." The next day he

was wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Mother on it, and She pointed to

it and laughed. One time She played a game with me for days, and on the

last day She "got" me, and She laughed and laughed, and I had to laugh

too. Nothing like a good belly laugh at your own expense with the

Goddess of the Universe.

Several years ago I grew some daisies for our Puja and took them to give

to Mother. By the time I got to Her they were totally wilted and funky.

When I gave them to Her I was feeling bad about the wilted flowers, but

She acted like I had given her the nicest thing in the universe. A few

days later, full of pride and wanting Her to notice me for my

generosity, I gave her a baggie with old gold jewelry in it that I

didn't want any more and said "for the orphanage". She took the baggie

in Her fingers and didn't even look at it or me! She certainly knew

where I was coming from!

I would say that Mother was answering you. I am convinced that there is

not so much as a tiny thought that goes through our minds that She is

not aware of. In fact She has said that there is not a thought that goes

through our minds that does not go through Her first. I don't have the

source, at the moment, unfortunately.

So I would say that your "Kissless Darshan" was a present.

Jai, Jai Ma!

Prasadini
