Namah Shivayah to all...

I am back at work after the intense NYC programs. I can only say that

I have been deeply effected by my experiences. Devi Bhava was

incredibly beautiful and powerful. Amma was dressed in a beautiful

orange saree and gave darshan through the night -- 5800 people. We

left the hall around 9:30am.

There was one very touching wedding and also one first feeding --

wherein the baby looked right into Amma's face with the HUGEST smile!

It was absolutely adorable and everyone in the hall let out a

collective, "Awwww!"

At the end of DB, Amma whacked me in the face with a huge glob of

flower petals. Talk about a lot of love. ;) Maybe it's because I was

crying so...

I miss Amma's presence already. Being back in the office is such a

harsh change. And to think, only 24 hours ago, I was still in the

hall with our Amma...

With love,

Far past the point of no return,

Niseema

Namah Shivaya, what an intense few days!!!

In case I don't have a chance to write more about my experiences of the NYC

programs

last week-end (I'm not sure I'd even know where to begin, truly!), I wanted to

say that I

actually did get to meet Gabriela! Although we didn't have much time to talk,

she was a

tremendous help to our lines seva team. Somehow, she and a couple of others

ended up

flipping the numbers on the token board, which allowed all of our sevites to

stay in

position for the masses rushing the line every time the numbers changed! The

funny

thing is when I said goodbye to her after Devi Bhava ended, I found myself

wishing I'd had

more of a chance to talk to her...and then I ran into her later at the train

station! =)

Grateful and blessed and loved and loving and tired and really, really sore,

Iswari

Here here! Hello Iswari - I also wish we had more of a chance to talk.

However, I feel like we made a very nice connection through our brief exchanges

and eye-contact. It was so lovely meeting you! As I told Aikya - It's Amma's

grace that I am able to help. I would say it is "selfless service", but it's

fairly selfish on my part - I LOVE helping! I hope to do so again next year.

Can't write more... so late to work...

Love,

Gabriela

P.S. Thank you for helping me figure out which train to board at the station!

I had darshan around 2:30AM. I stayed there the next seven

hours just to hear Amma Amma Thaayey and experience the

golden moment when our dear Amma throws down the flower

petals and it lands on your hair and face as you try to

save the petals touched by Her. That precious moment was

marred this year. For the first time, after all these

years, the good volunteers from San Ramon and New York just

decided to form a line and each one of them started to push

people to make them move faster. There was no need for

that. The push and pull from each one of them was quite a

rude distraction. Particularly at that sweet and sad and

precious brief moment. I hope Amma tells them to

discontinue this new idea.
