Namah Shivaya Bros & Sister....if my memory serves me correctly: The true story about why Amma gives Hershey's kisses (in the USA) would come from Amritapria, Cathy Schmidt, who may have been challenged to find sweets for prasad at the last minute during Amma's first visit to Taos in the late '80s....so when any of our brothers and sisters see Amritapria or Steve Schmidt, her husband, the exact tale could be told. I have memory of asking her why Amma would offer chocolate in 100 heat in Santa Fe, when I first attended the public program there. Seems like Amritapria also told me that Amma gave hard candies in India. So...for those who are traveling to Toronto, etc, surely maybe one of you could get a "sworn statement" from Amritapria. Keval, will you or Vigi ask her and keep us all in the know. BTW...I was so overwhelmed with the blessing prasad that Amma gave us in the form of Hersheys, that I wrote the company in 1996 by email, then talked by phone to CS. My hope was to get the company to make huge donations. The results could not be printed...as the Cust. Service person assumed I was a nut talking about "a South Indian Saint" passing out Hershey Kisses to thousands. Later, I believe someone mentioned that a devotee is within the higher administration at Hershey. ONS, Amritavarshini

That's not usually a problem on the North American tour because of a/c darshan halls, though the Bryant College gymn has no a/c and can get very hot! I just returned from New York, and awaiting more of the same in Toronto next week. I connected very briefly with Gabriella, and re-connected with Kenna (met her several times in Detroit/Ann Arbor) Sorry I missed the rest of you (Len, Aikya's friend Shreedevi, et al). Yes, I did go to the Mets game on Sunday. Mets beat the Phillies 6-1, and it was a very entertaining game, with several good defensive plays and back to back home runs by the Mets. By Amma's blessing (!) they got the game in and played all 9 innings, despite threat of rain. It started to come down at monsoon levels as I was riding the #7 train back from Shea right after the game.
