They've worked for me over the years Jury duty Stomach flu and/or case of food poisoning Fell off a ladder while painting the house Groin injury playing soccer/baseball/hockey Recovering from badly botched root canal surgery Hit and thrown off bike by driver running red light Death of grandmother/grandfather/aunt/uncle, etc. The last one always seems to be trotted out to go to the opening ball game. I think some employers wonder why all the grandmothers seem to drop dead in the first or second week of April!! Keval (veteran of numerous jobs that sucked big time!)
