Guest guest
Namaste Brothers and Sisters, My ex has informed me that he can not go to see Amma. My heart is torn right now. I hate that I might have to depend on other people and be a burden. I'm afraid of offending someone. I am emailing someone who might be able to give me a ride, but if she can not then I won't be able to go. It's heart wrenching to think I came so close this year. I still have hope, and I still put this in mother's hands. If anyone has any ideas on a ride from St Louis and back again please let me know. I have had someone open up there room to me once I get there, and there food for which I am eternally grateful, even if I don't make it there. I hope to return your kindness. If anyone has any suggestions please email me. Thank you. At Amma's Lotus Feet, Robin PS Out of curiosity how much are the meals provided at the program? Does anyone know? Guest guest
Dear Robin, I just looked on Amtrak.com and it seems that a train fare is only $80 round trip for you to get to Chicago from St. Louis. I am willing to help out with the fare. It was only by the grace of others that I was able to go to the retreat last year and it was one of the best experiences ever for me. Perhaps a few of us could contribute a few bucks each to get you the fare... Amma's grace flows through her children, Robin. Guest guest
Dear Erica, My heart is agonizing over this. Does Mother not want to meet her own daughter? I'm so distraught. I looked up the Amtrak web site I have to put a hold on the ticket by midnight tomorrow if I am to accept it. I would also have to take off four days of work. Even if my ride worked out I would have to take the same amount of days off. If I go with my ride she wants to leave Wednesday, she is going to BOTH Fairfield AND Naperville, which is in its self a blessing, but I have no where to stay in Fairfield and I am not sure I can afford to split the gas with her to both places and back, AND buy food for myself. If I take the train I don't have anyone to take me to the program. Ive never traveled alone either, thats a bit scary for me. I would leave at 4:35 am arrive in CHI at 9:55 and make it to Naperville at 2:54 pm on the 9th (which buy the way the train attended said was booked and she had to find me a spot, all of the spots are taken) coming back I would leave on the 12th at 9:38 am have to have someone take me BACK again make it to CHI at 10:35am and back to STL at 10:40pm on Monday night. It just seems a bit overwhelming for me and my heart is in such agony. Mother is really putting me through a test. Not to mention that I would have to find the train station ( I don't go to the city much) and leave my car there, I have no idea how much it will be to leave my car there for parking. I just don't see how this is going to work out. I posted for a room in Fairfield if anyone will share with me I might be able to split the costs, but then I still have to worry about food there and not to mention at Naperville. Will Mother leave without giving her daughter a hug? I have such a heavy heart. Guest guest
Robin, Why dont you set up a paypal account(as Erica suggested I think), so that way those on this list who may want to help you out, can chime in their contributions. Even if 10 people put in 20 dollars each, that will amount to 200 dollars which will go a long way in helping you make this trip. Please try to do that ASAP as many people on this list may be on travel/will be on travel soon. It is apparent that you are making sincere efforts to meet Amma, that is what counts - leave the outcome to Mother. -yogaman ps. If you want me to I will complain to Amma that She is not doing enough to help Her children :-) (if I meet Amma the rest of the tour) Ammachi, Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel> wrote: > Dear Erica, > > My heart is agonizing over this. Guest guest
I agree. Please set up a Paypal account (www.paypal.com), Robin. If you need help doing it, let me know. I'll give you my phone # so I can walk you through it. Guest guest
Robin, Please do NOT worry about food at all, at least in Chicago. I am willing to help you with food and you do not need to help with any expenses if you come stay in our room. I am not saying this for any other reason than I want you to be with Amma. Please email me off-list so we can go through it. With love, Erica Ammachi, Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel> wrote: > Dear Erica, >
Guest guest
Dear robin, When my son was in India, he heard that Amma has said that sometimes the more difficult it is for a person to get to Her, the more spiritual benefit s/he will recieve. In India, some people must walk many, many miles to see Her. Also there can be a lot of resistance when one is taking as powerful a step as meeting Amma for the first time. I am confident it will be worth it if you can make it, so hang in there and persevere! in Amma, Amalia Ôm Amriteswaryai Namah

Guest guest
Robinji, I usually take the Greyhound to Amma's programs. It's pretty affordable, if VERY uncomfortable, and you can go last minute. I would rather save a few hundred on airfare and spend it on pictures of Mother! Plus, I really enjoy the time to myself and the long look at planet earth. Pray! I'll pray for you too! love, Prajna --- balakrishnan Shankar <balakrishnan_sh wrote: > Namah Shivaya Robin, > > I met Supriti from the list here in fairfield- i > was asking her if you made it here too- did you get > to see Amma? > > bala > > Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel wrote: > Namaste Brothers and Sisters, > > My ex has informed me that he can not go to see > Amma.
