Guest guest
Dearest Bros. & Sisters of Amma, I recently saw a delightful program on PBS about Baba Ram Dass . I had met him in the early 80’s. it was good to see that he still maintained his whit and strong love of the divine. In this hour long documentary he speaks and there are images and footage of his whole life, time at Harvard as Prof. Richard Alpert and times with Timothy Oleary.. etc. Possibly a local library or order this documentary directly from Independent Lens. Spring, 2004 Independent Lens ….PBS show presented RAM DASS FIERCE GRACE by Mickey Lemle When Harvard expelled faculty members Richard Alpert and Timothy Leary in 1963 for LSD experimentation, Alpert traveled to India and returned transformed into the beloved guru Ram Dass. Now in his 70s, the author of the best-seller Be Here Now continues to inspire people all over the world as he deals with the effects of a massive stroke. This web site has tons of info about the film, about Ram Dass and his teachings. http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/ramdass/film.html And for those looking for Fierce Grace Home and educational video copies of RAM DASS FIERCE GRACE are available from: Zeitgeist Films Phone: 800-509-0448 Fax: 212-274-1644 Web: zeitgeistfilms.com Om Namah Shivaya, Amritavarshini On Friday, July 2, 2004, at 04:23 PM, Dixie Thacker wrote: > > - > Aikya Param > Ammachi > Friday, July 02, 2004 4:22 PM > Re: Fierce Grace > > > Namaste, > > "Fierce Grace" is available as VHS at amazon.com - it's about $30.00. > > At Mother's feet with love, > Dixie > > > > The woman sitting next to me when Ram Dass was honored during Amma's > San Ramon visit told me about the filk FIERCE GRACE made by Ram > Dass.
