Guest guest
Hello: I'm writing to introduce myself. My name is Mary Ann. I am new to this group. Amma just left her L.A. tour stop yesterday. I was in her retreat here in L.A. and it was amazing. It made me want to connect with other Amma devotees online (I am in a local satsang, too). Can anyone clarify the mantra for Amma - is it Om Amriteswaryai Namaha? I met Amma for the first time last year at the public program locally, and this year, did the retreat. Is anyone else on list here in California? BTW there is a questionable ad about what a Hindu guru learned about Jesus appearing on your message board/home page. I saw the ad tonight when I logged onto this board. I am a member of another Hindu-based group that complained about that ad to because it's about converting a Hindu to Christianity. There is a form that can be submitted online to report it to if anyone feels offended by it. We did that, and the ad was removed from our site. Guest guest
Dear Mary Ann, Welcome to the group! It's nice to have your energy on the list. May this list be a good thing in your life! I think you have the mantra correct. If I'm not mistaken, the "s" sound is actually pronounced "sh". Anyone can correct me on that. The pronounciation is as Amri-t-(the "t" is somewhere in between "t" as in tom and "th" as in they) esh-weryai. -yogaman Ammachi, "Mary Ann" <buttercookie61> wrote: > Hello: > > I'm writing to introduce myself. Guest guest
Hi to the other new members, and All. And thank you to the members who helped me with pronunciation of the mantra. Brigitte, did you meet Amma in Germany before, or is her first trip there this coming November? Has she recorded any German bhajans yet? :) Ammachi, Brigitte Lange <brlange2000> wrote: > Hello all, > I am also new to this group.
