Her DC visit will be after Toronto. It's no wonder we couldn't get anything booked during that July time. We just couldn't figure out why we weren't getting any support on it. Things kept falling through. The Parliament of World Religion brought Yogananda over originally, and I believe Vivekenanda before him. How fascinating about Amma needing to get a trip to Spain in there. Do you know if it will be at the same hotel as on the website? Did the group lose their deposit on the Maryland hotel? Guest guest Posted June 24, 2004 Report Share Posted June 24, 2004 So Amma and her tour crew will be flying from Chicago to Barcelona for a couple days, then catching a flight back in time for the New York City programs? Can you say "grueling schedule"? How many frequent flyer miles does Amma get And what does it do to their visas, if the tour staff have to leave the U.S. and return twice, to go to Spain in between the Chicago and NYC tour stops, and then to come back to Washington, DC after being in Canada for a few days? I believe the Toronto retreat was scheduled at the end of the tour, so that Amma & company could return directly to India from Canada. Didn't see anything about Amma appearing at the Parliament of Religions on their web site http://www.cpwr.org/2004Parliament/ although the key speakers include the Dalai Lama, Deepak Chopra, and Gandhi's granddaughter.
