Aloha Christine,

This year is the first year that Amma's super-profound

meditation , the IAM technique will be taught during

the retreats. It is not mandatory but I would

recommend it highly- it is a tool that helps the inner

connection with Amma grow tremendously fast and deep.

This tends to make the retreat schedule even more

hearty as the mediation course is interwoven witht he

program back and forth-so I really suggest that you

catch up on your sleep before and after the retreat so

that you can take part in learning this divine

meditation and still be in the hall and have allt he

special time with Amma, the dinner She serves, the

question and answer sessions, the classes by Swamiji

in the morning, the evening satsangs and the darshans,

darshans, darshans.

I took the IAM in India during Amma's 50th birthday

celebrations and have since celebrated hugely

remarkable changes in my evolution towards Goddess. I

did notice it seemed hard for some people to be able

to take and /or really focus on the course during the

retreat whether it was becuase the wnated to be int he

hall during that time or becuase they needed a break-

but i would recommend is taking it no matter what- it

is gold (with a fragrance)- a direct darshan anytime

you want to do it.

Amazing Grace- She is so benevolent,

Namah Shivaya,

I agree. I took the course during the retreat in

Seattle/Tacoma. It is an "accelerated" course that

does not include everything, but it has most of the

technique and will get you started.

I've only been doing it for a few weeks and have had

monumental experiences with it. I hear Amma in my

heart now more than ever, and I've had deep meditative

experiences that I've never had before. It has

definitely deepened my connection and I look forward

to taking the entire course as soon as I am able.

I HIGHLY recommend learning and practicing it. It is a

blessing from Amma!

One note: I noticed many wanted to add changes to the

technique as soon as we learned it. I would submit

that this is a package deal - something Amma has given

us that contains Her blessing. We should try to

practice it with surrender and faith, and not add our

own "flair" to the technique. She is a Mahatma who

knows what we need more than we do.

In Amma,

Gabriela
