Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya Gopal, This daughter of Amma's would be most grateful to have email Malayalam lessons to get closer to Mother. Mainly because I always see the Indians chatting away with Her so enchanted and I imagine I will feel closer to Her. However in truth even when I have realized by now how much English Amma really knows, whenever I have tried to start chatting with Her in English, She pulls me into Her Divine Heart and the mind button stops and the words ooze into a peaceful light. There are a few times I have been up for darshan and there has been a word for word conversation in English happening back and forth bewtween Amma and I in the silence. We all know that Amma understands every word in Swamiji's translated to English satsangs from the way She corrects him incessantly and makes sure he gets each word of Hers right. This brings me to think it is more than just the language that is bringing this coomunication between Amma and Her indian children. Perhaps it is the depths of the devotion, faith and constant focus on Her which dissolves the barriers of mind and lets the words just flow from the heart through mouth. Can you include this way of knowing Mother in your lessons? When just in San Ramon waiting for Mother to come put on Her shoes after darshan, One woman taught us all how to say We love you Amma in Malayalam. We all chanted it together as She put Her Divine Feet into Their Sandals. SHe was so delighted, much more so then when we have all chanted it in English. Perhaps because of the extra effort to reach Her. Of course I forget already- is it unggul Amme snehikkyul? Forgive the spelling. Please share any ways to get closer to Mother- I do think leearning Malayalam is a very sweet one that endears us to Her. Thnak you Ambujam
Guest guest
Namaste Laksmi dasiji Actually only the Malayalees and sometimes Tamilians chat with Amma (Amma can understand and speak both of these). I am also a keralite but Amma does not speak very much with me; but when she does I am totally stunned because usually it is something that only I alone know (of course Mother knows everything, but when She gives a personal display of her omniscience, it is a little overwhelming for the moment). I personally think that learning Malayalam to chat away with Amma is a waste of time (you can still understand all the Amma jokes) and chances are that Amma may ingore you. Also bear in mind that when she chats away with a family, they have been with Amma a long time(10 years +) and are totally dedicated to Amma. But do take the lessons that Gopal-ji has so kindly offered to give. I will let you in on a little SECRET on getting closer to Amma- just decide to ignore her totally; do this in a gentle childish attitude and she will come running after you LOL. This has been tested by me many times over time. > because of the extra effort to reach Her. Of course I > forget already- is it unggul Amme snehikkyul? Forgive I had a good laugh over this one at San Ramon; the words were so distorted that it actually did not make any sense. But then love does not have any one language does it- thats what counts with Amma. -yogaman Ammachi, laksmi dasi <ammaslotus> wrote: > Om Namah Shivaya Gopal, > This daughter of Amma's would be most grateful to have > email Malayalam lessons to get closer to Mother. Guest guest
Do appreciate the innocent question. The easiest way to be close to amma is by seeing amma's eyes in the people around you and be like a child all the time , singing dancing & playing .. that's simple .. Feel amma in your heart all the time ,Feel amma's love in your heart all the time by the way the sentence is "Njangal Ammaye Snehikkunnu" ( We Amma Love), malayalam grammer usage is different.
