Namaste!

As a Seva to Amma, I’m thinking of volunteering my time to give free Malayalam

lessons to those who are interested. During my conversations with Amma devotees

during the tour and the satsangs, I realized that many of them wanted to speak

to Amma in Malayalam. Therefore, I decided to give it a try and volunteer my

time for Amma on this good cause. I haven’t really planned out the details of

lessons or instruction methods. I think the easiest way is to send the lessons

(like a pdf format?), correspond to each other, and answer questions via emails.

I would like to find out how many of you would be interested in this idea. Feel

free to email me directly and send your suggestions. Thank you.

Malayalam Lessons

Gopal, how wonderful! Please count me in.

Like others on the list, it is getting close to time for me to see Amma

again - I had expected to feel rampant excitement about it, but instead have

been experiencing an "Ahh...it's almost over..." snese of relief that the

separation

is drawing to a close. I am concerned that coming back to WV afterwards

will be harder this year because I truly do know what I will be misssing.

And, before I sign off, thank you everyone from the Fairfield satsang - I

expect things are getting hectic for you and I really do appreciate all the

time and effort you put forth. The seva may be for Mother, but this is one

child who can't thank you enough for the opportunity you create for many of

us.

Namah Shivaya Gopal,

I am definitely interested. I have returned to college

and plan to take lots of Asian Studies... my language

is going to be Malayalam (UT Austin teaches 5 Indian

languages!). I understand it's a difficult language,

so taking lessons with you would be great! Like

others, I would love to understand Amma's words as She

says them.

Thank you for your seva!

Gabriela

P.S. I'm taking several other correspondence courses

for school, and suggest you look into a way to

maintain files and lessons online. Perhaps another

? You could create lessons and store the

files on the Group page and calld the folders Lesson

1, Lesson 2, etc.
