Guest guest Posted June 5, 2004 Report Share Posted June 5, 2004 Hi, I am just wondering if anyone can explain the word Sankalpa, i have a rough idea of what it means and is, but i don't know exactly. I am 31, and single and have been so for a long time, and on my last visit to see Mother last year in Holland i was told that She would help me, later I asked again and was told that Mother was going to make a Sankalpha for me so that i would be successful in finding a girlfriend. I recently asked Swami Ramakrishaji about it again as 6 months past and i am still single, and he said recently he would ask Mother to bless me when I see her in San Ramon in June this year. So i am wondering what a Sankalpha is exactly and how long i might have to wait for it to come into effect ? Until then....i think its going to be a long unhappy, lonely time for me ! Again, as far as I know, there is no set time period before which a Sankalpa will come into effect, but if Amma makes a Sankalpa that a certain event will occur, it is bound to happen. " My interpertation of Amma's sankalpa: Amma's firm resolve to help you in this matter. It is wonderful that you will be seeing Amma in San Ramon, and you can always again ask Her to hurry Her help , and maybe, if you want, ask if there is anything you can do on your part to help hurry the process along. These are all nothing for her. Even she can materialise a girlfriend for you, if she desires. You try to ask bigger things than a small thing!. See already Snehalataji has come forward to help you!.
