Guest guest
Namaste, Robin, if it makes any difference, seeing Amma in Fairfield/Mt. Pleasant would probably be about the same length of trip that travelling to Chicago would be. My sisters live in St. Charles and St. Louis, and our grandmother is in Keosauqua, Iowa, which is about 40 minutes (approx) from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. The trip to Grandmother's is 3 1/2 to 4 hours so time-wise, you'd be about the same. I do think, tho, that if finances are an issue, it would be much, much less expensive to stay in Mt. Pleasant than Chicago. None of my business whatsoever, but just an fyi. Love, Dixie
Guest guest
Namaste Sister, I also live in St. Charles!!! Sometimes the world seems so small. Are they Amma devotee's as well? I have never heard of Mt. Pleasant. Sounds like something to look into though. Things are kind of leveling out around here. Getting back to normal. I guess it has nothing to do with the three day weekend. lol :-)~ Thanks for the information, its always welcome. Hope you all have a great memorial weekend! Guest guest
Dear Dixie, I live off of highway 70 Close to old town St. Charles, which is beautiful if you ever get the chance to visit there. I live on a little road named Campus. I live in a town home. We have been having THE worst weather in which I am terrified of tornado's, so as I was trying to keep track of the storm on line, I turn to Amma's web site and she had this quote, something about cyclones can destroy so much but it can't reach the blades of grass, and them being humble. In any case it spoke to my heart and I felt completely safe after that. Sometimes I'm still amazed how quickly Mother will answer our Cries. Hope you have a great holiday!! All my love. Guest guest
- Robin Wilson Ammachi Monday, May 31, 2004 10:50 AM Re: Robin & Amma Namaste, I know how you feel about the weather; I was always terrified of tornadoes there in the midwest! I'm very familiar with Old SC- I lived in St. Charles in the 70's and attended Lindenwood for a couple of years. I still go to the Trading Post every time I come home and used to take my mom to the Mother-in-law House for lunch quite often. And, of course, I hit the Festival of the little Hills whenever I can. Hope to meet you in SC or Fairfield and will keep you in my prayers thru the tornado season.
