OM NAMAH SIVAYA!

hello dear brothers and sisters in Amma,

its been a long time since i posted but here goes:)

i would like to first begin by saying i am in no way offically

representing the MA Center.

 

With Mothers tour quickly upon us, its seva time:) i am doing my

seva with the preteens program in san ramon both weeks. my request

is this....i know funds are low for new supplies and the craft

supplies being used are from last years stock. just wondering if

anyone on the list attending has things the kids could use. almost

anything can be used for making a craft project. some groovy ideas

are old fabric pieces, colored/white paper, crayons, markers,

glitter, sequins, old magazines/catalogs... etc...you name it.

 

(i remember last summer someone brought lots of plastic food

containers and travel mugs. the children decorated them with

pictures of mother and paints, then sold them at their own green

friends table ...reminding the grownups that if we used pastic

reusable containers instead of paper ones at the food tent we would

be helping the enviroment as well as giving the money to Mothers

Green Friends project. they raised quite a bit of money and their

self esteem as well!i know it was nice to see the kids ( my sun

included) doing a "seva" and having loads of fun at the same time.)

 

just use your imagionation:) they dont have to be new either.again,

this is not an official request, simply my bright idea. (hahahahaha)

you can bring items with you to the MA center during tour. the

preteen program hours of operation are posted all over the ashram as

well as the location of the tent. just stop in let someone know you

would like to donate craft items for the kids!
