Guest guest
MEDITATE WHILE YOU WORK : A NEW PATH FOR A NEW AGE (15) Swami Ashokananda (continued) Now, mind that, I am not against mediatation and concentration. I am not saying that you should only work and not meditate. What I want is to speak to you of working in such a way that it will become as good as meditation, as effective and as productive as meditation. I am not against your doing other spiritual practices as well. But as I have already indicated, very few people are fit to spend their whole day in different spiritual practices one after the other. If one tries to do that, within a short time he will find that his body or his mind cannot contain the impact of it. Of course, one should do as much as he can; if he likes to meditate a little, morning and evening and so on, he should do it. If he likes to do ritualistic worship, he should do that; if he wants to sing devotional songs or pray to the Lord, he should so those things. Or if his teacher says that this or that practice is the thing for him, he should do it. (to be continued)
