Namah Shivaya,

I try to visualize Devi in my meditation, in my puja, and what I

perceive is not the human like form depicted in the iconography, but

fleeting flashes of energy and light. I hear others speak of visions

and my mind becomes envious.

Today I walked in the hills around my home. The sun was shining, the

sky was bright blue and cloudless. My path was carpeted with wild

flowers in all colors imaginable. The trees showed their bright green

new buds. Birds soared and sang about me, and frogs greeted me with a

croak then a splash as I walked by a pond. From around a bend in my

path I am startled then delighted when I came face to face with a

deer who looked at me with her soft large eyes before she bolted into

the brush.

And the words Mother Earth, Bhudevi, come into my mind and I realize

that what is all about me is the Goddess, is Devi, is my Beloved

Amma, and She supports me, and She nurtures me, and She carresses my

senses. I do not needany clearer visions, I do not need more. I am

grateful for this miraculous gift.

And then She plays with me and the words of Bruce Springsteen sing in

my mind..."It ain't no sin to be glad your alive"...Jai Ma! Omana

remembering Bhudevi

Namaste,

Thank you for such a beautiful expression. I, too, see Mother in nature: Who

else would have taken the time to make such spectacular swirls of hair on my

cat's nose?

Always,

Snehalata
