Namaste,

I wondered about this too and did a google search on seed words, bijas,

specific words in my mantra, etc., and had fairly good luck. Interestingly,

doing this research startled me into awareness (again) of how deeply Mother

knows us. I had been worried about the direction I had asked for my mantra to

take but, in looking all of its bits and pieces up, Mother had double-focused it

for me in the beginning!

Gotta love Her naughty little heart!

And, speaking of sheer playfulness, She got me a few days ago as well. This

tale's a bit lengthy, so will do my best to cut it short.

I have been reading like a fiend and continue to see that we must not be

attached to anything in this world; on one of my drives to work, I was playing

with the idea and came up with 5 personal items that I am still attached to

(didn't go so far as to look at people in my world!)- 1 of the 5 was a stone

hatchet head that my father (Sioux) carved before he died.

Now, to jump, the counselor at my school found out that I have Sioux blood and

she is, apparently, a Sioux freak for some reason. Hoping to educate me about

my background, she brought a huge bag of books for me to read over spring break

- in return, I told her I'd bring in the hatchet head my father carved to show

her.

I took the carving in and her response was: "Thank you! I will cherish this

forever!" Now, since you don't know me personally, I'll tell you I'm a real

wimp when it comes to face to face confrontation and I had no idea of how to get

the hatchet head back without embarassing her in her misunderstanding. So, I

simply said "I thought you'd like it." and left her office - only to literally

hear Mother giggling softly inside me! Within two or three minutes, I realized

that my loss wasn't a loss at all; the lady will probably cherish it far more

than I did and I truly believe the carving is now with its rightful owner.

I'm just wondering how - and when - I'll manage to lose possession of the

other 4 items!!!

At Mother's lotus feet, minus more baggage,

Dixie

Hey, Snehalata, this was a great story! I've had

similar experiences. I'm very sentimental, and have

noticed that as soon as Amma came sweeping into my

life, all of my most prized possesions began breaking

or disappearing!!

It is the love between you and your father that is

eternal.
