Guest guest
MEDITATE WHILE YOU WORK : A NEW PATH FOR A NEW AGE (6) Swami Ashokananda (continued) I imagine that unless a little of that realization comes to our mind, we won't feel inclined to take advice such as I have given - that is, to be patient. But if this realization does not come to us spontaneously, we have to bring it about by thinking, by reasoning. Then our minds quiet down, and we know our own measure - we know how much meditation or concentration we can really practise daily, or at any given time. But until we have gained this inner sense ourselves, we should take the advice of those who can give it to us. Now, mind this, I am speaking of patience in connection with people who want to undertake spiritual practice, not with those who do not want to practise anything at all. Such advice won't apply to the latter, and I would reccomend that they not pay attention to what I have just said on this point. For those who are reluctant to practise spirituality, everything seems to conspire against such practice, and even a little determined effort on their part would be desirable.
