Amma to deliver discourses today

DEVOTEES OF Satguru Mata Amritanandmayi Devi or Amma

are all geared up to personally catch a glimpse and

seek blessings of the divine lady, whose loving hugs

are said to cure a lot of maladies. Amma would make a

public appearance at the Dussehra Maidan in TT Nagar

on March 12 from 6 pm onwards.

 

She would deliver discourses, bless the devotees

personally and also participate in a programme of

devotional songs. Thousands of devotees from all over

the State will participate in the massive gathering

that is likely to continue till the dawn of Saturday.

 

National co-ordinator of Akhil Bharatiya Malayalee

Sangh, Soman K Menon has urged people to participate

in the programme. He has said that the spiritual power

of Amma is known throughout the world. Her striking

speciality is that she communicates spiritual

tranquility to the devotees by personally hugging

them.

 

The Malayalee Sangh has further enumerated the

philanthropic works being undertaken by Amma all over

the country and the way it has earned her devotees

from all over. The hospitals and shelters for

homeless, run by Amma are huge projects that are

serving the poor people mainly in Kerala, Tamil Nadu,

Maharashtra and Gujarat.

 

The huge relief work undertaken after the Gujarat

quake was widely appreciated. One of her major

philanthropic acts has been to provide pension to

about 500000 widows for a long time now.

 

At the outset, Amma would be accorded civic

felicitation by Governor Ram Prakash Gupta, Chief

Minister Uma Bharti, Urban Administration Minister

Babulal Gaur, former chief minister Digvijay Singh and

mayor Vibha Patel. This would be followed by

distribution of pension to some destitute women by

Amma and distribution of sarees to some others.

 

A model of Amrit Kutiram – the township of 50 houses

to be set up by the Amritanandmayi Ashram in the

capital. This would be followed by discourses and

rendition of devotional songs in Hindi by Amma.

 

Free bus service would be provided for to and fro

transport of devotees from various parts of the City

and also from surrounding areas.

 

The bus service would commence from 2 pm from various

parts in the City and from 1 pm from outside the City

limits. Buses would start from Sarvadharma Kolar and

collect devotees from Shahpura-Manisha, Gulmohar,

Trilanga, E-8, E-7, Reserve Bank Colony, Bittan

Market, 1100 quarters, six and half number, seven

number, MP Nagar, Pragati and Jyoti Talkies.

 

Another set would commence from Ayodhya and would pass

through Rajiv Nagar, Vijay Nagar Bypass, Indus Park,

Vrindavan, Patel Nagar, Anand Nagar, Kalpana Nagar,

Piplani Petrol Pump, Indrapuri, BHEL Gate number 1,

ITI, Security Lines and Chetak Bridge.

 

Buses from Bairagarh would pass through Koh-e-Fiza,

Lal Ghati, Royal Market, Peer Gate and Kamla Park,

that from Shahjehanabad would collect devotees from

Hamidia Road, Bus Stand, Railway station, Bharat

Talkies, Lily Talkies and PHQ, from Prabhat Petrol

Pump to Bogda Pul, Jinsi and PHQ, from Kotra

Sultanabad, Jawahar Chowk to New Market.

 

There would be continuous services of the buses. Buses

would also ply from Vidisha, Sehore, Raisen,

Diwanganj, Samardha, Mandideep, Narsinghgarh and

Obeidullahganj and back. The devotees have been asked

to take seats by 5.30 pm. The entry for all would be

from the Palash Hotel gate of the ground while the

invitees would enter from the Rangmahal side. The

parking would be at the Government School.
