Guest guest
Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!! Namaskarams to all my sisters and brothers in Amma's Divine Love! My wife and i are wondering if anyone in the Toronto Satsang knows where Ammachi will be giving Her programs in the Toronto area in July this summer....although we live in the west, British Columbia, Canada, we are feeling that it might be easier and just as cheap for us to see Amma in Toronto, in Canada, rather than the Seattle visits which i have attended before....what with the costs of having to go 600km each way for a possible entry visa to the US...which can be denied at the border anyways....not to mention the necessary 3 days off without pay and so on...(my wife has only a permanent resident's card...she is not a citizen yet...) as well, there is the general feeling of not being safe travelling to the US any more....too many police with their assault weapons, too many citizens with the same....too many extremely rude border guards with way too much power over innocent people attempting to travel to their country.... So Toronto sounds very attractive to us....still in Canada... anyways please forgive our paranoias dear sisters and brothers in the U.S....i haven't felt right about that border since 9/11..... in Amma's Divine Love, and in Her Service, as ever, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah! Hotel still has not been secured, though three possible sites are under consideration: one downtown, one near the airport, and one in Mississagua (905) sprawl. Naturally, I would prefer the downtown location. You might want to contact the Toronto Amma satsang <toronto, or Raman & Viji Nair <kunjan, and let them know you are planning to come to Toronto. Unfortunately, Toronto is becoming the Detroit of the North. There were three murders in one day last week, and several non-fatal shootings, which would be about an average day's work in Detroit. If you do visit Toronto this summer, especially if you haven't been to this city since the 1980s, you will be shocked, sickened and disgusted at the decaying infrastructure, drugs, crime, homeless beggars, graffiti, road rage, gridlock, smog, and unending suburban sprawl. Not to mention the underfunded transit system's filthy subways and rust-bucket buses. At least you won't get SARS. But West Nile could be back this summer, and who knows if Bird Flu will hit Canada? Toronto has also O.D.'ed on diversity to the point where a white anglo-saxon person, born in Canada, who speaks only English can feel like plain vanilla. Keval (who has absorbed enough Hinduism and South Asian culture not to feel like plain vanilla!) Search - Find what you’re looking for faster http://search.
