Guest guest
OM AMRITESWARAI NAMAH IMMORTAL LIGHT - Training of Children Children need discipline with love Up to the age of five, children should be given a lot of love. >From the age of five to fifteen they should be brought up under strict discipline especially regarding their study. It is at that time that life's foundation is formed. Love without discipline will only spoil them. Above the age of fifteen children should be given maximum love otherwise they may go astray. Many teenage boys and girls have told Mother that lack of love at home causes them to go astray. During their teens children yearn for love while the parents punish and scold them severely to discipline them. They don't even allow the teenaged children to come near them, let alone show the children any love. Showing excessive affection at a time when the children need to be taught discipline will spoil them, and they will become lazy and indifferent to their studies. But when they are older, they should not be reprimanded severely, instead, their mistakes should be pointed out and corrected by reason and logic. :: >From the book of Immortal Light - Advice to Householders (english translation of the original Malayalam "Amrita Jyoti") Amma Sharanam
