Guest guest
Namaste: You truely do have a point. I am also not disagreeing with you. I noticed a part of me believes that Amma awakens new people and draws them to herself without an International bookstore. Also, I realize that I was operating a metaphysical bookstore and natural healing teaching center when her flyer reached my hands and heart for the first time. I guess I want her to have all the profits hahahahahahaha. I really don't know which way it happens, but I do know that my heart recognized Her when I saw her on television: volume on mute, no idea of who She was or why She was being featured on The Today Show. I just knew I had to meet Her and, after stewing for two years about how I'd ever get to with my other obligations, I found out She was going to be In Iowa and just a stone's throw from my grand- mother! My husband's health is not good and I typically would have had to forego going that far for several days, but as Mother would have it, Ron's son was free right then and came to have a guy's week together with his dad! Obstacles fell like dominoes when it was the right time and, after hearing other stories, getting my spiritual name and mantra from Amma within two hours of my first darshan with Her makes me even more sure that these things are not always - if ever- random. As you commented, whether or not Amma needs any promotion is something I've wondered about, too. When I attended Christian services, I felt quite comfortable inviting others to share my church and worship, but for some reason, it almost seems blasphemous for me to even attempt to put Mother into words, let alone call others to Her. Her Presence seems so strong that me calling anyone's attention to Her would be as literally silly as standing beside someone at the precipe of the Grand Canyon and saying "There's a hole below us." I'd always heard people repeat the old saw about the teacher appearing when the student is ready, but I finally believe it. I think my last 6-8 years have consisted of little more than the laying of my path to Amma's feet (Not always an easy path, however; broke a few bones, stubbed some toes, and cracked my skull a time or two on the way... but, wow, the arrival was worth every bump and bruise along the way!) Love, Snehalata Namaste: You truely do have a point. I am also not disagreeing with you.
