Develop positive attitude, Mata exhorts people

HYDERABAD: Mata Amritanandamayi Devi on Thursday

exhorted people to develop positive attitude to

achieve success in life.

 

Negative thinking would result in failure on all

counts and cause mental agony, she said.

 

Giving a spiritual discourse on the first day of the

Brahmasthanam temple annual festival at Mahindra

Hills, Mata observed that many people leave this world

without utilising their abilities fully.

 

Describing interest and discretion as stepping stones

for success, she advised the people to use their

intelligence and discretion to overcome obstacles in

the way to success. ‘‘If we nurture intelligence and

good qualities we will be able to increase our

strength,’’ Mata said.

 

Mata urged the people to use their abilities and

wealth for the sake of themselves as well as the

world. The abilities of a human being should not be

misused. ‘‘The wealth obtained from the nature

diminishes but inner abilities increase,’’ she

observed.

 

‘‘Some people cry throughout their life brooding over

a wrong decision,’’ she said and added that we would

realise that the light of success is nearby if we

examine various situations with a clear mind.

 

Mata, however, said countless other factors, many of

them are not in our control, would determine the

success of our efforts. ‘‘Even if we drive the car

carefully we may meet with an accident if another

driver is drunken or reckless,’’ she reasoned.

 

Everyone needs God’s grace to make our actions

complete and meaningful, Mata said.
