Hari OM! OM Amritwswariye Namaha!

Blessed Nick,

Can You celebrate in the West, Maha Shivarathri, MahaNavami, Sri Rama

Navami, all the Ekadasis and all the other Hindu festivals as we

celebrate Valentine's Day in India, No you cannot never West will do

that, so Which country is more tolerant and liberal? ONLY THE ONLY

INIDA, THE BHARAT, WHICH TOLERATED ALL THE LOOTING BY VARIOUS

RELIGIOUS SECTORS, STILL IT GIVES THE ADHYATMIC KNOWLEDGE LIKE A

MOTHER, only some group are against Valentine's day, In India, the

people who want to celebrate Valentine's day they celebrate, no body

harms them. But it is not on India's culture, so naturally some

people are against it, and in India, couple will never behave as

West, because if you respect Guru you will under stand it, other wise

your respect is only a show off. As per Indian Culture, Husband and

wife have lot of rules and regulations if they want to follow, but

nobody imposes them to follow. And Men embrace each other and wishes

each other because they respect the other as his equal or brother.

not like in the US. Please keep in mind, West is in no way Superior

or Modern than India. Even though Westerner's say Hindu

Fundamentalists We accepts each and every religion in the World. We

never say Christina Fundamentalist! Because to a real Hindu, there is

no difference between any religions!

In the all religious meeting after september 11th in USA, US

Government never considered Hindu priest or Saint to attend the

function, Why so? Is it not the Christian Fundamentalism of US

Government??? India celebrates Jan 1st as New year, which is never on

India's culture, Indians celebrates brithday on the real date they

took birth which is not on her culture, actually we celebrate

Birthyday as per the "STAR" not the date. So if India can follow the

Western culture, why can't Westerner's take good things from India

and practice, why should the flow should always be one way round? Is

it not the hidden selfishness in the mind???

With Love & OM!

OM Amriteswariye Namaha!

OM Nama Shivaya!

Namah Shivaya,

" Can You celebrate in the West, Maha Shivarathri, MahaNavami, Sri

Actually, all (or most of) the above are celebrated in Hindu temples

across US (not sure about Canada or Europe) though celebrations are

more or less confined to Hindu circles only.

Valentine's day is not seen in India as having much religious

significance, but rather as a day for mushy stuff.

So, both are tolerant and liberal. Both undergo continuous change and

adopt other cultures into themselves. Although, Bharat Mata's

greatness lies in not just adopting, but in making the new addition

very much a part of the mainstream.

Amme Sharanam,
