The Amma had visited Mangalore way back in 1995 and after a long wait of nine years she has given immence joy to her devotees by this second visit. Eloborate arrangments have been made for the smooth conduct of the public reception and Darshan of Matha Amrithanandamayi, at Mangala Stadium, here tomorrow. ‘Amma’ for her millions of her devotees, the mother has become popular all over the globe especially due to her love expressed in the form of social service activities like gifting free houses to needy and her work in the fields of medicne and education. Devotees have erected welcome arches and platforms with lighted lamps and ‘Amma’’s portrait at various pointsa in the city. The programme titled Amritha Sangama 2004, the public reception followed by her discourse, bhajans and individual darshan by Amma to all the people present has been arranged. The popular Kundana Nagendra and party from Mysore will present Bhajans commencing at 5 pm and the main programme will begin at 6:30 pm and the mother will be welcomed at the stadium in typical Tulunadu cultural style, according to the organisers.
