Guest guest
Namaste Everyone, I don't have alot of time to write but I wanted to tell you all about a dream I have had lastnight. I went to India and met two Hindu girls wearing orange robes with gold decorations sown on. They were looking at all my Hindu books, meditation things, etc. and were saying things I now can not remember. I think they were just appreciating them though. Then they took me to a river and I was getting into a boat and my mom and dad where in two other boats. I asked them what river this was and they told me the Ganges River, I then said "now I KNOW I'm dreaming". We Got into the boats laying down in them on our backs.. then I was floating down the river on my stomach with my hand in the water it was so peaceful and the water was so murky, like muddy, but still beautiful. It was dawn I believe but it could have been dusk. I wanted to put my whole body in the water as I know it is sacred but I was scared that something like a snake would bit me. So I didn't get in.. I was just mesmerized by the whole river, enthralled, peaceful, content even at my surroundings and where I was. Then I woke up. Anyone have any pointers on this one? I haven't had much time to think about it. Also when I looked up some pictures of the Ganges they looked like my dream. Very strange. All my love to you and yours. Guest guest
Dear Robin, What a nice dream! It sounds like you really were there. The peace and contentment, how nice. I am of the opinion that dreams can be interpreted in many ways, but I think that dreams having to do with spiritual entities, i.e. the Ganges, have special significance. Hang out with the dream, and the meaning may become more clear. It may also change. One thing is for sure, you couldn't go to Gangha, so She came to you! Very auspicious. Guest guest
Namaste Ganesh, I will see what comes to mind as I meditate on it. Sometimes I feel that I WAS really there, I don't know what to think about that. And I feel that it does have significance, I just haven't figured out what yet. Whatever the case, it has left me in a great state awe of the River Ganga itself. Along with mystery and intrigue. I am greatful for the dream that Mother has given me. It is one of my favorites. All my love. At Mother's Feet, Robin ganesh108 <ganesh108 wrote: Dear Robin, What a nice dream! It sounds like you really were there. The peace and contentment, how nice. Guest guest
Of course, you, with Mother's guidance, are the only one who can know the true meaning of this dream for you. But my impression...On a spiritual level, I thought it was a beautiful blessing that you and your parents were floating in different vessels in the same divine waters of peacefulness. Whatever happens, in the separate journyes of your lives, know that you are all held in that same loving embrace together. On a psychological level (and this may or may not apply) waters represent the unconscious, and I wonder if there is some place in your psyche or on your spiritual path that you are afraid to go? And yet...I'm just recalling Mother's words about how She is a river, and people may dive in, or simply sit on the banks and enjoy gazing upon the river. She is the river, and we delve deeper into Her as the time is right. I'm also thinking about how She talked about not forcing a flower open, because you will destroy it, but letting it unfold in its own right time. Maybe this is just a time to let Her carry you for awhile, maybe this is what your soul needs -- to be in Her divine flow, and to cultivate that contentment (which she and the swamis have been discussing a lot lately)!
