Guest guest
Swami Dayamrita was here to lead the IAM meditation instruction. Major emphasis on the "Parama gupta" (that's Sanskrit for 'top secret' BTW) aspect of this teaching. We had to sign a legal affadavit that we wouldn't reveal the technique to anyone, even to Amma devotees who haven't taken the training. Violators could be facing legal action in Alameda County court. Don't fool with Gov. Schwarzenegger, boy! The retreat was very well attended. Almost all of the Toronto satsang, as well as devotees from Montreal, Buffalo, Rochester, and even Ann Arbor (double-dippers? they just had an IAM retreat in A.A. a couple weeks ago) It was so well attended that the space we had rented for the weekend was much too small. Some people couldn't even see Swamiji demonstrate the technique, and there wasn't enough floor space to practice without hitting someone. >From hot rumor to reality, Dayamrita did confirm that Amma would be coming to Toronto this summer, but still wasn't sure of the dates. Would be either at the end of July, as the last tour stop, after Rhode Island. Or in June, as the first stop. There would be 5 programs over 3 days/nights (first day evening only, second day morning and evening, third day morning and devi bhava). Now it remains for us to find a suitable hotel, raise at least $25K, and O.D. on seva for the next 6 months! The weekend also officially launched the new Amma Foundation of Canada website http://www.ammacanada.ca/ Keval Hotjobs: Enter the "Signing Bonus" Sweepstakes http://hotjobs.sweepstakes./signingbonus
