Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi

I have to say that I am finding this debate very interesting since my

bedtime reading the last few nights has been from _Holy Mother_ by Swami

Nikhilananda (Being the Life of Sri Sarada Devi Wife of Sri Ramakrishna

and Helpmate in His Mission). And I kept thinking, hmm, that sounds like

Mother... And that. And that. Or does Mother sound like Mother. :) And

then the yatra pictures in Kanya Kumari made it even more interesting.

Found an old retreat bracelet today that said: Fill your heart with

divine love and then express it in all that you do. I feel so lucky to

have Mother in this lifetime to show such a model of total love.

Yes, Yes! Mother sounds like Mother! I like that. They are all aspects

of the same Great Being, that's why they are in some sense the same, and

yet they are also different.

Love,

Ramlal

I used to imagine that Ammachi was the current manifestation of energies

that were Swami Paramahansa Yogananda, him being a great Shakta and my first

familiar freind in Sanatan Dharma. Now I think that the energies I believed

were the same ARE the same only it is Divine Mother I see emanating through

both of them. So, i think now that Amma, Sarada Ma, Ramakrishna, Maharshi

etc.those who have achieved liberation (or have come very close), are just

displaying aspects of Mother and thus the similarities. There is no single

future incarnation. Ammachi is Sarada Devi and Ammachi is Yogananda,

invarying degrees of Divine Light like the phases of the moon. When

Ramakrishna said he would come back was it Ramakrishna or Maha Kali Ma

talking to us? No use looking for a new Yogananada or a new Ramakrishna,

that's like studying the night sky through a reflection on water. Sorry if

I've blabbed what's been blabbed already, i've come in late to this thread!

Re: Re: Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi

Namaste, Diana and All,

Having read a bit further in Ramakrishna as we saw Him, this question, as well

as a side issue on this thread, were answered pretty distinctly by the Master

Himself. He states that "I am Christ..(and another avatar but I don't have the

book beside me now to name that one)." Which, of course, makes sense and also

seems, to me at least, to support your suggestion that there will be no new

incarnation of any of the avatars since they all are manifestations of That -

just embodied a little differently and with temporary uniquenesses suited to

their places and times. Sri Ramakrishna also states, in the same book, that one

should "scrutinize" a guru before accepting Him/Her, which addresses another

area that I was struggling with. Two clarities in one day - I am simply

awestruck. Perhaps having just given up and asked Mother to let me understand

this in Her own time and way was all I needed to do - now if the howling at Her

feet for more of Her Truth just works as well....
