Guest guest
Om Amriteshwaryai namah, The Department of State recently issued a warning regarding travel to Kuwait, where I will be stopping for about five hours on the way to the ashram. It seems that there were several incidents on December 14 in which shots were fired at U.S. military personnel in Kuwait so they've increased the warning for travel to this area and informed travelers that they may temporarily close or suspend public services for security reasons. I figure that I'm not going to be there that long so it's probably not that big of a deal, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should seriously consider changing my flight (flying through Singapore instead). Although travelling through Kuwait airlines is relatively cheap compared to others, but it is not worth it. Worst than my experience was my firend's. My connecting flight from Kuwait city to Mumbai failed to start (we where supposed to waith 3 hours) as result we had to wait 7 hours, untill they got spare flight for reacing Mumbai. Guess what? due to this delay in Kuwait city, I missed connecting flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad which was my destination. This is not a stray incident,A freind of mine took nearly 3 days to reach India, facing some kind of same situation.Customer Service is down right barbaric. I am not going through Kuwait city any more in my life. At any day I would prefer Singapore Ailines or going through Singapore( The most neatest place on Earth). Guest guest
i cannot complain about kuwait airways. i had a great flight. waiting, delaying, missing, etc. can happen with every airline in every city. it's simply part of the convenience of travelling by plane. and also part of going to our beloved! the world isn't, never has been and never will be a safe place . . don't worry kirsten, have faith and go. and have a great time in india! lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu. -c --- avinash ramidi <avinash7_99 wrote: > > --- khd5 wrote: > > Om Amriteshwaryai namah, > > > > The Department of State recently issued a warning > > regarding travel to Kuwait, where I will be > stopping > > for about five hours on the way to the ashram. Guest guest
Om Amriteshwaryai namah Christiane and Avinash, I very much appreciate your advice! I learned that I would not be able to get a refund on the Kuwait flight so I am going to stick with my initial itinerary. Come to find out, the day and time of this flight is very auspicious for me astrologically. I have faith that Amma will protect me on my journey (as She always does!) and deeply regret that I allowed material concerns get the better of me instead of trusting Her completely. Just before calling my travel agent, I asked Amma to bless my travel plans, helping me to obtain a flight reservation which will enable me to arrive safely at Her ashram. I should have known better than to allow mundane worries to creep into my mind, especially considering that I asked Amma to arrange for my flight in the first place! Jai Ma! Wishing you all a happy holiday season! Kirsten
