I've heard of an anti-malarial drug that can cause weird, wicked nightmares as a side effect. Is it malarone? FWIW, back in '95 I was given a prescription for Chloroquine, which was taken once a week while in India, and for another 3 or 4 weeks after returning home. It had no side effects that I can recall. But the best malaria protection is still long sleeves, mosquito nets, and liberal use of Off! Keval (riding the Mussorie Express from Delhi to Haridwar on this day in 1995!)
