Guest guest
namaste people, i've recently joined this group and am finally posting a "hello" letter. i'm not really a "groups" type of person, but wanted to connect with people who share my love for AMMA. if i may share this with everyone: my first chance to meet AMMA was earlier this year when SHE visited new york. i was so touched by HER presence, i had an immediate feeling of reverence toward HER and as i stood on line for darshan, i felt such anticipation, that when i finally received AMMA's embrace, i felt my body melt in HER arms. i experienced such an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love that i was, from that moment on, devoted to HER. i am looking foward to sharing thoughts with other group members and hope that i'm accepted into the community. Guest guest
- janu Ammachi Sunday, November 09, 2003 1:36 AM introduction Namaste, Janu I, too, am relatively new to the list - maybe three to five months now - and want to assure you that the membership is warm and receptive to newcomers. Like you, I read and remained quiet for a while, then ventured to introduce myself. The response and acceptance has made me feel at home and the others are truly treasured members of my life now. It seems odd that I can share things with these familiar strangers that I cannot share with close friends and family. So, from one newbie to another, welcome; you have chosen a loving place for your devotion. I hope you'll find the support here that I have. Guest guest
Greetings and welcome Janu! Glad to know that some one else out there isn't much of a "group" person either! Funny how Amma works on our stuff individually and in groups:-) I have found this site to be a wonderful way to have satsang. Just to read your words about your devotion to Amma uplifts my heart. Guest guest
Ditto Omana...your writing is amazing. Welcome My first darshan in San Ramon is still etched in my head....and your story reminds me of mine...so similar. Still remember three devotees who assisted in orienting me to the temple. Amma was amazing...mesmerized with the amount of energy she could stir up in anyone within 90 feet of her...or within eye contact. Saw her put tears in the eyes of no less than 12 men per half hour....and watched for 4 hours before I was due at Berkeley for a conference....the conference was a lifes dream....but after meeting Amma on Friday morning. Could not concentrate on the conference all weekend...and rushed to Monday night at the Presbyterian Church in Berkeley....(June 1994) where, I swear, Amma lead " Jai Ma" for a good 30 minutes, the harmony of voices was beyond belief and the church sanctuary literally lifted from its foundation, pews and all with every soul in the place spinning out of body......was anyone else there....? Since talked with others who remembered the vibration of the entire congregation and sacred space were vibrating at rocket speed. Am sure devotees who travel world with Amma and see her often could tell many more stories involving the community of devotees seemingly in one vibratory dimension...unlike earthly worlds. Is there not a writer out there who could compile amazing devotee recollections and stories of the "oneness of mind, body, spirit" created as large groups of devotees gather around Amma. Lift off, time warps, fuzzy vision, liquid feelings, all oozing around us......"
