Guest guest
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I would like to bring up a new topic for discussion. Can anyone report on unusual Darshan experiences with Amma, that either they themselves, or someone else they know about, have experienced? I will begin by reporting one such experience, and invite others to give an interpertation of the message given by Amma in this darshan. Place and time: Devi Bhava, Naperville, IL., July 2003. It was Devi Bhava night and I was in line behind my friend Ása and her 12 yr. old granddaughter Sóley, so I saw their Darshan. Amma took Ása into Her lap. Before taking Sóley for a hug, Amma took and bit Sóley's hand. Sóley looked very startled at this, but it did not really hurt her, and she did not say anything. It all happened very fast. Ása did not see this, as her head was down in Amma's lap. After biting the back of Sóley's hand, Amma took Sóley and gave her a very long and nice Darshan, and even played a sort of hide and seek game with a shawl She blessed for Sóley. Later, when Ása asked Sóley about how her Darshan was with Amma, Sóley told her grandmother that Amma had bit her, and that she could see the imprint of Amma's teeth on her hand afterwards. Ása did not at first believe her. Then I confirmed what had happened and said that I saw Amma take and bite the back of Sóley's hand. Sóley wanted to know why Amma bit her. We said that she was very lucky to have such an unusual Darshan as we would love to have the imprint of Amma's teeth on the back of our hands. Sóley was very spaced out for the rest of the night; like she was in a daze. At about 3:00 AM, Sóley went up to the room she was sharing with her grandfather to go to bed. Just as Sóley was getting into bed, the loudest bang of thunder that she has ever heard in her life shook the hotel. Sóley had a very interesting evening. Have any of you heard of a similiar darshan experience and its meaning? In Amma's Love, Sara
Guest guest
Dear Sara, I, too, had what I would call an "unusual darshan" this summer in Naperville. My husband and I went up to Amma together, obviously. She was hugging him for a VERY long time as she talked to someone in Malayalam. I got to stay there, on my knees, and STARE at her for a good two to three minutes! My eyes were as big as saucers, I suspect. I watched her there -- smacking her lips, talking, waving her hand -- and was completely enthralled by her presence. The night before, I'd gotten my very first darshan hug from Amma and was bowled over by the experience. I'd been VERY shaky after the darshan. I could barely speak and all! This second darshan was very different, and really...it was exactly what I needed. I needed to see her up close. My husband also needed the extra-long hug, after which she told him that he needed to stop worrying about things so much (which is soooo true). Amma gives us what we need, even when we don't realize that we need it. Only my thoughts...of no value, but the idea fascinated me. Namaste, Snehalata Dear Sara, I, too, had what I would call an "unusual darshan" this summer in Naperville.
