Guest guest
Dear Listers, Can anyone help this member of our satsang out? (see message below) I plead ignorance and am interested in the answer. Sounds like a wake up call to me. Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Kenna. The Srimad Bhagavatam is a delightful tale of the anecdotes of the avatars of Narayana(Vishnu), with a special focus on darling Krishna...... Almost half the book is on Krishna. It is an enchanting tale. Here is a tip: when you read the book from start to finish, you can sense a rising in consciousness. Every time you read the whole book again, you can sense it rise up a notch again. There is a fantastic English translation of the Srimad Bhagavatam. It is written by Kamala Subramaniam. She was extremely erudite, and her commentary is both regaling and revealing. It is published by the Bharthiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai (Bombay). I recommend the book. I think if you search it in Amazon etc, you may get it. If not, let me know. I can buy it from the Hindu Temple of Atlanta (assuming they still have copy), and ship it to you. Alternatively, you can check some of the local (for you) Hindu temple bookstores for a copy too. Good luck! let me know how you fare with this. Jai MAAAA! Guest guest
Namah Shivaya Manoj. thanks for your quick and wonderful response. I've forwarded to the devotee who asked. If we can't find it on net, we will let you know (no Hindu temples nearby but perhaps local Hindu Associations have available). This child has sooooo much to learn and, from Amma's tone, so little time....
