Guest guest Posted August 29, 2003 Report Share Posted August 29, 2003 A friend of mine who is not d to this list asked me to post this in hopes that the loving attention of more Amma devotees will help her friend: Susanna Felder is a long time friend of mine who is on her way out the door right now. She is diagnosed with the most serious type of brain cancer. After surgery in April she spent 3 good months with her friends living a good quality of life. But now she is back in the hospital, the tumor very big, indeed. She is weak and unable to talk and just suffered a series of debilitating setbacks in the Iowa University Hospital. She could use all the good thoughts and prayers we can send her. Her visit with Amma in Mt. Pleasant and Chicago was a special time for her. She was especially taken by Mother's speech on "The Awakening of Universal Motherhood," and she has asked, especially, to gain more love in her life. So send it to her, please. Susanna has been a university professor, is a passionate advocate of woman's rights, an environmental advocate and an ardent developer of sustainable living. She is currently working on a book about the "truth of sex" in a metaphysical and scientific frame. It is not much fun in the hospital and we are hoping she will be strong enough in the next few days to return home- which is what she wants to do- to complete this journey, with dignity and some peace.
