Guest guest
Namaste Dear Brothers and Sisters, I am filled up with gratitude to all of you who are so kind to me. I feel so close with all of you. You are the only true family I have. Your generosity has been too much and leaves my heart to burst. Each of you has given so little of yourself to me, but touches me in a big way. To my dear sister Dixie, I love our chats, I feel close to you already. I cried tears of joy reading your last email. It was touching. And I feel in my heart that if it is meant to be for me to meet Amma, that it will be very simple in the end as it was for you. And to my dear sister Jyotsna, you are too much. I wish that I could do something for all of you on this list, like you have done for me. All my love. You all really have no idea how you have all changed my life in the past two years, all of you, you who are my teachers. Guest guest
Namaste Gabriela I have in the past felt that I was not ready to meet Amma. Perhaps because I felt not worthy etc. I also have a fear of all the "bad" past event of my life coming up right in front of Amma and not being able to think of anything but all the horrible things I've done. I think I am overcoming this and am feeling the pull of Amma's love getting stronger and stronger and also the desire to meet her as well. In the present it is because I have no money or resources to go and meet her. I am also a bit shy of what goes on in the Ashram I have a general Idea but I am not completely sure and I don't want to offend anyone. Guest guest
Dear Robin, Mother does not care about our past. She says "the past is a canceled check". She also does not care that we are not perfect, as that is why She is here. She says something to the effect of "do we wait until we are well to see the doctor?" She loves us just the way we are - even of we are horrible. That is one of the amazing things about Her. She sees God in everything, therefore she loves everything and everyone. As for being new and not knowing what to do - don't even give that a thought. When you walk in the door, go to token line and tell them you are new and they will tell you what to do. Every day there are many, many new people coming to see Amma. One cannot tell a person who has been around a long time from a first-timer. All sorts of people see Mother. Everyone blends in. Follow your heart and prepare for the best day of your life! At Her Feet, Prasadini Robin Wilson wrote: > Namaste Gabriela > > > I have in the past felt that I was not ready to meet Amma. Guest guest
That's true, Robin. When I went to RI for the retreat, I couldn't tell a newcomer from a long-time devotee. Everyone was treated equally and it was a very warm environment. I spent a lot of time walking around by myself, and I always ended up feeling comfortable. At lunch and dinner, as soon as you sit near someone they start a conversation with you. It's great! I highly recommend you try to see Amma the very next time she's in your neck of the woods. I'm so so so so so so so glad I went to RI to see her... it totally changed my life and deepened my connection with her and with everyone around me. I sincerely hope you go next summer. --- ganesh108 <ganesh108 wrote: > Dear Robin, > > Mother does not care about our past. She says "the > past is a canceled > check".
