Guest guest
In talking about Amma's early life people often mention how she was looked down on by her relatives for being darker skinned than other family members. Here's an interesting article from the bbc about how that attitude has caused a booming industry in dangerous skin "care" product advertising and related cultural attitudes. Similar products have been banned in some african countries, where women have ended up with 2/3rd degree chemical burns from cheaply made formulas. http://news.\ bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/south_asia/3089495.stm I wonder how much of this sort of thing is going to require specialist dermatology care in AIMS hospitals, which could be prevented?
