Guest guest
Dear Robin, Hi. How is your daughter? Better I hope. I wanted to let you know that it is posible to read Matruvani, issues: Jan. 1998 through March 2002 on line at: http://www.amritapuri.org/publication/matruvani/matruvani.htm I know that this is difficult for you, not being able to do this when you have a lot of time. I do not know if you could maybe select one article here and there that sounds interesting, and then print it out and take it home. This is just a suggestion for the time being. Take care of yourself and your girls. In London, this last Nov.,when we had a few precious moments with Amma, She really emphasized that it is important to be doing what God wants us to do, and accept that, and not what we think we want to do. And, as an example of this She praised and gave a lot of attention to one man who had spent most of the last 3 days not in Amma's physical presence in the darshan hall, but rather doing the laundry for the 15-25 tour staff members travelling with Her on tour . She took this brother , kept him near Her, and told us how he has been unselfishly doing this duty, (and obviously putting aside other more pleasant activities, like sitting in the hall with Her doing meditation). Needless to say I came home more resolved to the routine household chores with a less complaining attitude, and more surrender to God's will, and now try to be especially mindful of this when doing the laundry. Being a good and caring mother is one of the greatest sadhanas in and of itself, in my opinion. A mother has to put aside her own ideas about how she wants to spend her time, or what she wants to do, and loving care for her child...surrender...and it is not easy to just keep repeating your mantra while giving attention to children, and always keep a balanced mind. This I know because because I do a lot of child care in my home. In Amma's Love, Sara J.
Guest guest
Hi Robin, If you want to order a subscription to Matruvani, you can go to http://www.mothersbooks.org, go to the books section, then browse in magazines and you'll see it. It's pretty cheap, only $15 for a years subscription. If you do get a subscription just remember that it takes about 3-4 months before you'll get your first issue, then they'll come every month after that. I hope this helps:) In Amma's Love Jon Om Amriteswaryai Namah Ammachi, "saramj33 <saramj@m...>" <saramj@m...> wrote: > Dear Robin, > Hi. How is your daughter? Guest guest
For what ever reason that link is not working,if you type mothersbooks.org in your browser that should work or you can also get there by going to ammachi.org and on the right side of the screen click on bookstore, then go into books and browse magazines.
