Anyone know if the verse or stotra form of the 1000 names is available

from MA center bookstote?

Namah Shivaya,

I haven't noticed the 1000 names of Divine Mother in stotra form in the MA

Center bookstore, but Lutz(on this list) recorded a chanting of the 1000

names and made it available to me. There is a CD sold of the 1000 names in

the archana form at the MA Center bookstore. If you or Robin want a copy

of the stotram CD, I would be happy to send it to you. Just give me your

mailing address. Premarupa's husband made an improvement on the recording

(I was given the names on a cassette, and a few names got cut out in the

process, so Premarupa's husband chanted them back in).

The version on the cassette being passed on through this list is a

very good clear recording of the stotra for those who want to learn

it. It only lacks the meditation. The chanting of the meditation on

the Archana cassette from MA Center is not the melody one finds at

satsang chantings, but is available on the CD ROM From Untruth to

Truth for those that have it or knows someone who has it.

There are CD's of the stotra available at Khazana.com I had gotten

one by the Shastry Brothers (Vedamurthy...) and it's pretty good.

It's chanted in a mello way with reverb effect added, but occasionally

the flute accompaniment gets a bit loud and for some reason the 1000

names are divided into 2 tracks with a flute interlude between them.

The meditation also has the verses in a different order and

incomplete I think (MA Center's order of the meditation differs

slightly than that found from other sources). The CD also has the 108

names of Devi and the 300 names. The text of the stotra is available

at the Sanskrit Documents site (http://sanskrit.gde.to/) Check under

Devi/Tantra.
