Sat Nam,

This long dark black highway called my subsciousness had given me a moment of

rest and clarity. Thanks sodarshan kriya and thank you Yogi Bhajan! I f you

haven´t tried this meditation do it! Im on day 50 plus doing 7 to 8 min a day.

Some days I do 11mins some days 5mins. With a couple of days at 11mins it can

get overwhelming. If I´m feeling really down then I do 5mins for that day. 3mins

if the minimum amout of time to maintain an unbroken number of days. Doing this

I add another link in the chain of my practice without getting overwhelmed and

stopping my practice. If you want to charge ahead then do 31mins but also

remember the most important aspect maintaining consistency and continuity in

your practice. I used to try to do 31mins right off the bat, but then I´d get so

depressed I´d stop. Shakta Kaur gave me this advice and I thought I´d share it

with you all.

PS- with 5-7-mins you get plenty of cleaning done.

-Chris

Sat naam!

A bit late (6 years) to answer this post, but what you wrote have given me some space to breathe. I did the SCK every day and I started with 6 minutes, but then I got impatient and went straight to 11 minutes. It was of course more powerful in every way, but at the same time I was overwhelmed by the power building up and the need to pee myself (!) during the meditation. So now I shall build up slowly and maybe go for the extra mile (11 minutes) once in a while, as it's consistency of this practice that is important.
