In a usual display of selective judgement, this group of 'Progressive

Thinkers' forgot to think the whole thing through. A large portion of

Indian Government 'Public Money' is based on donations collected at

Religious Institutions. Not just any religious institutions but only

at Hindu Temples are pilgrims donations collected by the government.

Therefore a minimal use of government funds to give back to the

spiritual yearnings of the community is only just.

The Indian government is the only country in the world to subsidize

Islamic Pilgrimages to Mecca. This practice was banned as Un-Islamic

in Indonesia, yet India still uses public funds to send its Muslim

citizens to Saudi Arabia. A huge industry has been set up in India

with Haj Pilgrims having exclusive service, designated areas and

specialized treatment distinct from the rest of India's citizens. In

fact Hindus are regularly massacred at Temples. Thus the Indian

Government has been forced to establish intensive security screening

procedures at many major Hindu holy places.

The group below represents another form of assault on the

sensitivities and dignity of the Hindu community.

they said they wanted to question the propriety of this programme as

the Ramayan Mahastra was organised using public money.

was an effort to reinstate the mono-culture of the Vedic system. They

called upon the people not to yield to any such religious ignorance.
