Guest guest Posted March 18, 2006 Report Share Posted March 18, 2006 Concert series inaugurated Staff Reporter It is a collective effort of Tattvaloka and KalalayaUSA, says Lalgudi Jayaraman Chennai : `Kattrinile Varum Geetham' — a series of three musical concerts organised by Tattvaloka and KalalayaUSA, was inaugurated on Friday at Abinava Vidyateertha Smaraka Bhavanam here. Violinist Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, who participated in the inaugural function, said that the concerts were a collective effort of the two organisations. Among those who spoke on the occasion were V.V. Srivatsa, secretary, Music Academy, S. Shivakumar, T.R. Ramachandran, Sarala Panchapakesan of Tattvaloka, and C.R. Gopinathan of KalalayaUSA. The programme was followed by a vocal concert by T.M. Krishna. A concert by Sudha Raghunathan will be held on Saturday followed by Ganesh and Kumaresh on Sunday. On Thursday, the newsletter of the Vedic Sangeeta Foundation was released at Tattvaloka by Swami Satyapriyananda, secretary, Ramakrishna Vidya Peeth, Mylapore. The first copy was received by V.V. Srivatsa. Additional Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran and Foundationmanaging trustee A.K.
