Ramayana finds place in Philippine's presidential palace

The holy book for the Hindus, Ramayana, found a place at the

cultural function organised in connection with the official banquet

hosted in honour of visting Indian president A P J Abdul Kalam, by

Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at the Presidential

palace tonight.

''Rama and Sita'' is a popular Filipino musical theates which is an

adaptation of the Ramayana.

 

Magabalik ka na Mahal and Awit ng Psgsinta are two songs from the

musical that portray the love between Sita and Rama.

 

It was written by Bienvenido Lumbera and the music was by Ryan.

 

The cultural performance was well received by dignitaries present.
