RSS KATHMANDU, Jan. 5: The World Hindu Federation (WHF) today felicitated its executive member Buddhi Man Tamang on being appointed the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies in the present Council of Ministers and wished him a successful tenure. On the occasion, Minister Tamang said that he has been appointed a minister by the special grace of His Majesty the King and that he would always remain committed to the protection and promotion of the Hindu religion in keeping with its letter and spirit. He also said that his attention as a member of the Council of Ministers constituted in the present difficult situation of the country would be centred on making the 21-point policy and programme of His Majesty's Government a success. President of the WHF Bharat Keshar Singh said that the many members of the Federation have been succeeded in assuming special posts of the state, including ministerial berths, due to their capability, skill and religious belief. He expressed the confidence that Minister Tamang, as always, would be committed to the protection of the nation, nationality and religion. General Secretary of the Federation, Diwakar Chand said that the Federation is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in the near future and expressed the hope that cooperation would be received from all sectors I making the event a success. On the occasion, WHF president Singh handed over the `peace urn' to Federation special life-member Tri Ratna Tuladhar amidst the chanting of hymns from the Vedic scriptures.
